Touchrugby.ie, also known as Touch Rugby Dublin, is a subsidiary organization to Dublin Indoor Sports which was founded in 2004. In 2005, Touch Rugby Dublin ran its first touch leagues in Terenure College attracting over 24 teams and has since been the sole provider of commercial touch competitions in the Dublin area.
It successfully ran the inaugural Dublin one-day touch tournament in 2005 in DCU and then a second one the following year in Terenure RFC, attracting teams from all around Ireland and the UK. Touch Rugby Dublin continues to run this annual event every year in the month of August with each year bringing in a different team from a different country.
The organizer of the competition, originally from New Zealand, is a qualified International Touch Coach and Referee who has an extensive Touch background of over 20 years. Chris is responsible for driving the sport of Touch here in Ireland and is also one of the founding committee members of the Ireland Touch Association which was formed back in 2007.
The Ireland Touch Association sent their first Ireland representative squads over to the European Touch Championships held in Paris in 2008 and has been competing internationally ever since. In 2010, Chris coached the Ireland Mixed Open squad who went on to claim the Mixed Open title in the European Touch Championships held in Bristol.
Chris's knowledge and enthusiasm for touch is evident by the number of years that Touch Rugby Dublin has been successfully in operation and by her continued work at an International level.
Touch Rugby Dublin aims to continue to run quality Touch leagues and events within the Dublin community, where players will always feel welcome and can be guaranteed to play the sport using the official International rules. Referees are trained and regular FREE coaching clinics are provided to not only educate new players and teams, but to maintain a good standard of touch in Dublin and Ireland as a whole.

The best way to come if you are coming from the city is to go over the canal and down Harold's Cross Road. When you get to the 'V' junction go to the left which will take you to Terenure Road North. At the next main junction turn right and then turn left to go down Templelogue Road. Terenure College is on the right hand side directly across from Bushy Park.
Once you get into the school gates, the playing pitches are either to your right or around the back of the school’s church. Parking can be found outside the school gymnasium (follow the signs) or at the back of the church (which is found straight ahead as you enter the school, to the right-hand side).
Buses that stop outside Terenure College are: 15//B/D/E/F, 49/A/N, 65/B/C/X
